    The Selectmen's office administrates the day-day-day operation of the Town, including management of the General Government budget, and issues permits for the use of the Municipal Community Room and Temporary Pistol permits.

    The Town Clerk's Office is responsible for maintaining land records, vital records (birth, death, and marriage certificates, issuing sportsmen licenses, and numerous other statute-required duties. If you wish to license a dog, you will need to provide a valid rabies certificate and proof of neuter or spay, if applicable.

    Canterbury's Solid Waste Transfer facility is located in front of the Public Works Garage/Bus Depot at 111 Kinne Road. Hours of operation are Tuesday & Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
